MR 5.E Early Church

The early Church had a different definition to leadership than the current Church. Early Church leaders were a group of truly courageous men and women that risked their lives just to build God's Kingdom on Earth. Present Chruch leaders just do not face the level of adversity that the early Church leaders did. Commonly, the early Church leaders lives were in danger of were killed for their openness regarding their Catholic faith. Apostolic succession is the method whereby the ministry of the Christian Church is held to be derived from the apostles by a continuous succession, which has usually been associated with a claim that the succession is through a series of bishops.
