M.F Significance of the Resurrection Analysis

Ultimately, humanity's pardon for sin comes from Jesus's sacrifice on the Cross. Baptism is used to take away Original Sin. However, another form of purification is required after Baptism has occurred. Jesus and the Apostles had the power to forgive sins, therefore Christians now have that power because it has been past down. To combat lax morals, Confession was created so Christians must commit mortal sins once a year. Forgiveness is not impartial when given to one by the proper authority. A Christian that goes to Confession seeks forgiveness, has humility, and recieves sacremental grace. Penance makes one's forgiveness real and graces are recieved at this time.
